Since 2001, DEG has been a member of KfW (Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau) and an integral part of its international project activities such as as exports finance and financial cooperation with developing countries. The merger also raised a lot of identity questions, especially amongst the staff. In 2017, DEG inaugurated its extension building of its “DEG-Campus” in Cologne’s city centre. To solidify the aliance with KfW and the re-positioning of the brand, the inauguration of the Campus was accompanied by visualizations which are assigned to each section of the mission statement:

The symbols created for this occasion were used in projections, a 3D installation, special kits offered to staff mambers and internal communication brochures.
